Gentle Stroke – Interactive Installation
We designed the interactive installation “Gentle Stroke” for the exhibition DigiTales in co-operation with the Institute of Media Research (IMF) of the University of Art Braunschweig, Germany. The exhibition took place during February 2005 in Hanover, Germany. The installation consists of a touchscreen let in into a wood terminal. A hand appears from the deep of the screen and disappears again. If the viewer reaches out to touch the hand, the hand on the screen seems to “answer” his action – when the two bodies bundle energies, and a figure appears on the screen. This figure starts to wind itself out of an invisible clasping, the the viewer touches the screen.
