We were asked to send pictures of our studio surroundings, workplace and something utterly german. And we were asked the following questions:

- What is German?
- What is German design?
- Please describe your working process.
- What do you aim to achieve with your work?
- You‘ve invited a friend to Germany; name one place they really must visit and a quintessential experience you recommend.
- What is the most important lesson you have learned in your profession so far?

The letter and sketches came to light when we asked ourselves the question “what, if…?”. The given answers may not be exactly what you call historically correct, but absolutely worth seeing!

We took part in the Teddytroops Design Contest initiated by Flying Fortress and actiontoys.de and designed a cute little “I Love Bass” Teddy Trooper. Our little one and all the other Teddy Troopers designed for the contest will be exhibited in Design and Streetwear shops throughout Germany in Fall/Winter 2008/2009. “My Summer Blues” is a series of illustrations we made in the summer of 2006. We combined the ease of the drawings with pictures of grasses and flowers. Selfinitiated project, 2006.

In 2006 we designed the catalogue for the first tablecloth collection “Tischlein Deck dich” of “gudzso”, the label of the incredible talented textile designer Zsofia Gudlin. The cover of the catalogue is made of the original material and is embroidered with motives of the collection. The tablecloth is presented on eight large foldout pages. Attached to the catalogue are cards with a detailed view of every piece.

The “Paulikirche Braunschweig” celebrated its one hundred years anniversary in the year 2006. As a part of the ceremonies, the “Jazzkantine” performed a musical reading called “100 Jahre Pauli Menschen” with actors of the Staatstheater Braunschweig under the direction of Peter Schanz. We designed posters, flyers and an animated movie accompanying this event. Commisioned work for the Staatstheater Braunschweig.

“Werkstoff Reboot” was the title of an exhibition of our work held 2006 at Haarwerk in Braunschweig, Germany. The opening event took place on Saturday, June 24, 2006. We mainly showcased work from the last five years: collages, artworks, animated movies, installations and more. At the opening night played a young band from the local music scene, “ThreeSidedLif3”. The exhibition was organized by the Werkstoff Team, Kim, Jens and David, and Sascha of Haarwerk. Thank you very much guys, for supporting us and making this event possible!
